Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) is planning to take up projects worth INR 1459cr for the FY 2009-10. The state run agency is looking to develop some of its properties through a public private partnership.
In a note released by the board at the assembly, TNHB proposes he development of its properties at KK Nagar, Kilmudalampedu, Sholinganallur and Villivakkam in Chennai along with a joint venture partner. It plans to put up commercial and residential establishments here. Recently, TNHB has also signed an MoU with the Oil and Natural Gas Commission to construct an integrated office-cum-residential complex for the ONGC employees in Chennai. This project will come up on an area of 12.12 acres and is estimated to cost INR 70cr.

For the FY 09-10, TNHB has proposed a budget outlay of INR 620.15cr to take up development activities as well as to meet its administrative, organisation and maintenance and other expenditure.
